The Decorative Concrete Resurfacing (DCR) business is a multi billion-dollar industry. The market is comprised of
residential, commercial, industrial and government applications. Residential applications include concrete driveways,
sidewalks, patios, garage floors, interior floors and swimming pool decks. The commercial market includes hotels, motels,
restaurants and malls. Industrial applications include warehouse floors, walkways, loading docks, etc. Even government
locations have a need for resurfacing or refurbishing concrete surfaces. Miracle Coat Products is an excellent material
for coating expanded polystyrene used for ICF walls.
Jim Meyer founded Miracle Coat Resurfacing, Inc. in 1996. Jim is a civil engineer with over 30 years experience in the concrete and cement industry.
Over the past 9 years Jim and his team have developed products and procedures, which are unique in the industry. Miracle Coat continues to operate today
with a full time salesperson and several installation technicians. In 2004, Jim established Miracle Coat International, Inc. for the express purpose
of teaching, supplying and supporting individuals who have an interest in starting a DCR business. The products, techniques, and procedures developed
through MCII are proven, successful and profitable. Miracle Coat’s main objective is to develop a national and international group of MCII distributors
and dealers.
The benefits of managing a successful small business are many. Financial security with annual profits in the 36% to 50% range, quality of life and peace of mind are just a few. However, the vast majority of small businesses fail within the first five years and the DCR business is no different. Without knowledge, proven products, ongoing technical support, sales and marketing support and a well thought out business plan, the chances for success are slim.
I have seen countless people fail in business and I have seen people fail in the DCR business. My goal in designing our Dealer Development and Training Program is to eliminate the possibility of failure.
